Story Arts of Minnesota was planning to hold Storyfest, our annual day-long free storytelling festival, at the Bloomington Center for the Arts on Saturday, March 28; however, we have decided to move Storyfest to Saturday, April 4.
Although the focus of Story Arts of Minnesota is artistic rather than political, the Board of Directors of Story Arts wants to honor the fact that March 28 has been declared a national No Kings Day, and we want people to be free to exercise their 1st Amendment right to express their views on March 28, no matter what those views may be.
We are aware that Sunday, April 5 is Easter and that April 4 falls in the middle of Passover, and that holding Storyfest on April 4 might, therefore, pose a problem for some of our Christian and Jewish friends. For this we apologize. April 4 was the only alternate date the Bloomington Center for the Arts was able to make available to us in 2026. We hope you understand why we felt the need to change the date of Storyfest and look forward to seeing you on April 4.
As the day’s schedule is firmed up, details will be posted HERE.
