The mission of NSN is "to advance all forms of storytelling within the community through promotion, advocacy and education." They achieve this through a range of activities, including: an annual storytelling summit (this year in Kansas City, July 25-28); a quarterly print magazine and weekly online newsletter; Tellabration (TM), a worldwide celebration of storytelling; and awards recognizing storytelling excellence.
Individual members of NSN receive the weekly newsletter and quarterly magazine, access to online resources & databases, discounts to educational events, workshops and classes.
