From popular culture to YA lit to podcasts, fairy tales are just about everywhere, in books, tv, and film, but they evolved as told stories, passed from teller to teller over generations. Join storyteller and folklorist Laura Packer for a playful and meaningful exploration of fairy tales. Participants will learn the history, meaning, and uses of fairy tales, how to craft one to tell, how to fracture a fairy tale, and more.
Teacher Bio:
Laura Packer is an award-winning storyteller with a degree in folklore from Boston University. She has been crafting and sharing stories of all kinds, including fairy tales, for over 30 years.
