Story Club Minneapolis is in its FIFTH year in the Twin Cities! Join us for our first show of 2018 -- Thursday, January 18th at the Bryant Lake Bowl & Theater! Yup, the 18th in ‘18! We’re hoping, based on no scientific evidence whatsoever, that that’s good luck for the year. :)

Story Club's structure is half open-mic, half curated performers. Our stage showcases true personal stories, like a slam, but without the intimidating and competitive judges and scoring. It's a great, welcoming evening for beginners and polished artists alike.

Before each show, audience members are invited to put their names in the hat (okay, it's a jar) for the opportunity to tell an up-to-7-minute story onstage. The four storytellers picked from the jar by the host will bare their souls and talents, and they'll be followed by our featured guests. Does this make you want to tell a story? GOOD! (Do it! Do it! Do it!) 

January's featured storytellers are award-winning author, poet and essayist Michael Kleber-Diggs and interdisciplinary performer and educator Chava Kokhleffel.
