Writing about your own life can take many forms: personal essay, novel-length memoir, short stories, online blog, even performance monologues. This all-levels class uses writing exercises, readings and discussion to cover finding the heart of a true personal story, deciding what needs to be told, compressing time, developing a specific voice, and utilizing scenes and structure. Taught by writer and actor Amy Salloway.
