ONLINE: Crafting and Performing Long Form Stories, with Loren Niemi (Class, 1st of 3)

If you have an interest in crafting long form stories for Fringe festivals or other venues, the American School of Storytelling with Loren Niemi will be offering a three session course in crafting and performing long form stories on Wednesdays, January 12, 19, and 26, 2022 (each session will be 90 minutes starting @ 7 PM Central time) plus you get a one hour individual coaching follow up session in February. 

At $200 it is worth giving yourself a present or having someone you love give it to you for whatever holiday tradition you celebrate.

Session one: The requirements of a dynamic 55 minute story for Fringe Festivals or solo performance. What story do you want to tell? Setting the groundwork for your crafting.

Session two: Sequencing, point-of-view, and role of the narrative arc. Props, costumes and everything that is supporting the performance.

Session three: Venue and technical (lighting / sound) considerations Variations on a theme. Whatever else you need to craft an engaging story.

Individual coaching session: telling as a work in progress and questions/suggestions for what is next.
