Join The Story Studio instructor and coach Amy Salloway for this online open mic for former and current students of The Story Studio, as well as anyone else enthusiastic about the art of storytelling!
The Story Studio hosts this casual open mic once every two weeks. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive space for our community of former and current students to test out and develop new stories, and, if desired, receive feedback from the instructor/host. We also make space available for friends and other fans of crafting narrative.
ADMISSION:
Admission is pay-what-you-can (suggested donation of $5-$10). No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
The Story Studio is struggling during this unprecedented period, so if you're in a position to donate to attend this open mic, we would be grateful; anything you can offer will help keep this event sustainable. We want to create a safe, warm, friendly and accessible space where all staff and alumni know they're welcome and can hear good stories and find community.

Email: admin@thestorystudio.org with the heading "Open Mic". You'll get the Zoom link sent to you the day of the show, Wed. Dec. 2nd, by 3pm ET.
TO TELL A STORY:
If you'd like to TELL a story at the Open Mic, email admin@thestorystudio.org in advance with the subject line "Tell Story at Open Mic." The first 6 people to email will get a slot to tell a 5-minute story at the open mic and get feedback from the host/instructor. The next 10 people will comprise the waiting list, and will get a slot if there's time and/or if others don't show up (which happens often!).

Zoom Meeting. Information on how to attend will be sent to everyone who emails, and we'll have our eyes open for last minute sign-ups.
