MPLS: Joy Fest, with storyteller Laura Zimmerman

  • Sisyphus Brewing 712 Ontario Avenue West, #100 Minneapolis, MN, 55403 United States (map)

Joyful Noize Productions presents JoyFest 2019 taking place on August 24 at 6:00pm at Sisyphus Brewing (712 Ontario Ave W, #100, Mpls, MN, near the Walker Art Center). This foster care fundraiser will feature performances from folk duo Skunk Hollow, award-winning storyteller Laura Zimmerman, acoustic soul band My Anchor Holds, and many more!

This third annual show combines local musicians, storytellers, and comedians to celebrate the important work of foster care. In addition to raising awareness on the need for good foster families and the resiliency of our thriving foster kids, we’ll also raise funds for the nonprofit Foster the Love MN. They collect placement bags that help foster kids arrive at their new homes with all the necessities to make the tough transition smoother. Joyful Noize is proud to partner with Foster the Love MN and our wonderful artists to shine a light on people helping foster care work in the Twin Cities.

Join us Aug. 24 at 6:00pm at Sisyphus Brewing for an entertaining show, food, beer, and even tarot card readings! Tickets are $10-$15 (sliding scale). Kids are free! Bring the whole family. We’ll also be collecting new backpacks, toiletries, and pajamas for placement bags as well.

Let’s close out the summer together with a good time for a great cause!
