Strike Theater's Storytelling I class condensed into one amazing weekend!

The ability to tell a great story is one of the most powerful skills that you can have. This class will help you dive into the art of narrative storytelling. We will explore how to craft stories, how to build performance skills, how to connect with your audience, and there will be a focus on preparing a five minute real life story that you can use in a slam. You will leave class with at least one performance ready piece and lists of the ideas to keep you busy all year long.

Who should take this class? No experience necessary. Perfect for artists of other genres that want to learn about storytelling or for storytellers that have slammed and want to build a deeper tool kit.

TEACHER: Allison Broeren is the co-owner of Strike, a Moth Mainstage performer, host of the Story SlamMN!, a founding member of the Rockstar Storytellers, and director of Word Sprout. She has seen over 1000 stories on the slam stage and can’t wait to geek out on storytelling with you.
