STORY CAMP: Celebrating the diversity of the people, history, culture and ecology of our public lands through the power of your stories.
All public lands stakeholders (that's you!) are invited for a day and night of exploration and storytelling to learn and share your own stories about the unique history, nature, culture and economy of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and the surrounding landscape.
Hosted by The Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters and KEEN Footwear, public land owners will join local guides for a day of diverse adventures (from canoeing to hiking to paddling!), and a night of sharing your own stories about the Boundary Waters, which will be recorded and curated to create a digital archive of a place defined by you.
The event will begin at 10am at the Northern Lakes Girl Scout Canoe Base located at the south end of Moose Lake at the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
Lunch, dinner, and breakfast (the next morning) will be made at camp and provided free by KEEN. Camping is not required, but highly encouraged as we hear that Minnesotans really know how to tell a story, and so this event can go well beyond dark.
