Morningside After Dark

  • Edina Morningside Community Church 4201 Morningside Road Minneapolis, MN, 55416 United States (map)

The 2018 Morningside After Dark Live Music and Storytelling Series -- now in its sixth year  -- presents you with one winter night a month to come out of hibernation and find community with the amazing music and literary talents in our midst.  The 90-minute live shows alternate between 5-minute spoken word pieces (stories, readings, poetry, comedy) and music of all genres to create a program that fills the crowded church basement with songs, laughter and a whole gamut of emotions. And since this IS a church basement, of course there's coffee and delicious locally-made treats.

The theme for the January 29 show is "Second Chances," and includes spoken word performances by Nancy CarlsonIfrah MansourMaureen Millea Smith, Michael S Bazzett, Elizabeth Foy Larsen, Lester Batiste and Kate Anne Gjerde, plus many musicians.

FREE!

Doors open at 7pm, show starts promptly at 7:30 pm and runs continuously until 9 pm.
