Humor in a story balances out pain, breaks the tension, and unites the audience in an emotional connection. If humor is such a vital tool, why can it feel so difficult to create, and how do we incorporate it into a story that's serious, dramatic, or sad? This interactive workshop analyzes different types and sources of humor, and takes students through writing exercises they can utilize to "find the funny" in their stories and themselves. Taught by Amy Salloway.
